QuiltCon Block Challenge!

The planners of QuiltCon have announced the QuiltCon Block Challenge.  The challenge is to use the colors of the QuiltCon logo to make a quilt block that reflects what modern quilting means to you.  Entries are due by August 15, 2012 and will be curated by author and MQG Board Member, Elizabeth Hartman.  After August 15, Elizabeth will select 20 or more of her favorite blocks and will use them to make a quilt that will be displayed at QuiltCon and awarded, by raffle, to a lucky winner. Raffle tickets will be sold at QuiltCon and ticket sales will benefit The Modern Quilt Guild.  The remaining blocks will be used to make quilts for the Austin Children’s Shelter.  Basically you get the chance to design one of the blocks that could be included in a collaborative quilt seen by thousands!  How cool is that?  :)  Here are the deets.
