July's Meeting: Biased Binding

Jeanine was so nice to teach us Biased Binding and she taught us the method she uses most frequently. Plus, she mentioned Heather Bailey's Binding tutorial. Here's some images for Jeanine in action!

Here is Jeanine showing us how to fold.

Look how simple that looks!

She's showing us how to do the first angle cut.

You take the measurement cuts and keep cutting through all the folds.

This is a zoomed in picture to show you how to line up the biased binding.

Here's Kara, trying out how to angle and fold.

Here is the biased binding tutorial. You may be able to now download and print so you can practice at home!

And at every meeting we do Show and Tell! Can I say AMAZING! Everyone had such amazing quilts to show!!!
Look at the detail! WOW!

And look at Jamie's fun quilt, it's so adorable and amazing!

Here's a close up of the details.

She cut out circles by using the Big Shot!

And look at the cuteness from Kara! That's Hoo's In the Forest by Doohikey Designs
(yep my line)! She won a giveaway from my blog. Isn't it adorable! I love the DRESDEN!!!

Oh My! Look at the points on this quilt.

I love the patchwork, the scallops, and circles mixed together so fun.

Doesn't this make you want to sing! Such a lovely quilt
with lots of patchwork and applique!

Sorry for the delay in sharing what we did July's meeting, we hope that you enjoy the tutorial and will continue to join us Every third Tuesday at Material's Girls Quilt Shop at 6:30pm - 8pm.
